Talking Social Media & PR for Creatives on the Game Changers Podcast

I am SO excited to share with you an interview I did with business and branding expert, YouTuber with over 100,000 subscribers, fellow Melbournian and my legendary business coach, Erin May Henry!  In this episode of the Game Changer Podcast, we talk about being a creative in this day and age, how you can find a happy medium between being an artist and a savvy business owner, how to cope in your day job when all you want to do is create, getting PR, social media and more!

One thing we did touch upon in this interview was having a bigger vision to focus on. Many of us are in day jobs – some we don’t mind, some we loath – but know deep down we are destined for more.  I really want to emphasise that sometimes having big dreams and goals means laser focus often to the exclusion of everything else (keeping personal values intact though).

One of the quickest ways to lose your passion for something is to get caught up in a day job that doesn’t allow you the time – and importantly – energy, to do what lights you up.  I’ve seen far too many of my peers give up on their dreams because they lose momentum around their goals. Remember, we have one life and it’s our responsibility to live it for ourselves.  Eventually we have to make the call to stop building someone else’s empire and start building our own.

I’ve been following Erin’s business journey pretty much from the start and I honestly don’t think I’d be where I am today if I didn’t stumble upon her YouTube channel a couple of years ago, continue to be inspired by all the content she puts out and work with her in her coaching programs! I know you are going to get so much value from this chat and if you do resonate with what we talk about make sure you let us know by hitting us up on our socials!
